February 2008 is our 10th BIRTHDAY
The club began as a monthly doll discussion group in 1997 at Quilt Quarters North. Each month there was a featured artist, members would purchase a designated pattern, get together to discuss doll making and have a “show and tell”. In February of 1998 the group reformed. Their first meeting was held February 14, 1998. There were 26 members on the first roster.
The original goals of the club included education, monthly programs, special events and a monthly newsletter. The club was called the Doll Creators. The club has had several names over the years and is know known as Indy Cloth Dollmakers. The club continued to meet at Quilt Quarters North until November of 1999 when the meeting were held in club member’s homes. We currently meet at the Irvington Branch Library
